  • Exercise Physiologist of the McArdle Disease Neuromuscular Clinic, Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital and University College Hospital London, 1999 – 2014
  • Senior Lecturer/Reader and Professor Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation University of Chester 2006 – 2015
  • Professor of Applied Exercise Science University Centre Shrewsbury 2015 – Present
  • Widely published in international sports medicine and exercise science journals
  • Written two textbooks
  • Contributed to many chapters and national and international guidelines in cardiovascular health & rehabilitation, including the International Olympic Committee’s Manual of Sports Cardiology
  • Work has been featured in broadsheets around the world (New York, Washington, Mumbai, Toronto, and Sydney)
  • Advised and presented on a number of primetime BBC Television health programmes
