IKAR GB host the FM Ireland “Fall Arrest and Rescue Demonstration Area”

IKAR GB Limited are specialists in all aspects of work and rescue at height. With a highly experienced staff team they are the go-to company for consultancy, supply and training of specialist Fall Protection PPE.

The complete range of IKAR products include Fall Arrest, Fall Restraint, Post Fall Rescue Kits and Recovery Equipment for those working at any height, or depth!! IKAR also offer one of the largest ranges of Confined Space Equipment from a single manufacturer, including six tripod versions and four davit arms.

As part of the FM Ireland Programme, IKAR are proud to host live demonstrations showcasing the latest equipment and techniques for height safety and rescue. These will include demonstrating various working methods; permanent attachment movement; rescue systems for lowering a casualty and rescue lifting kits.

These demonstrations will be a must for anyone who works at height or those in a more senior position who may be required to specify techniques or equipment.

The IKAR “Fall Arrest and Rescue Demonstrations” are free to attend and will be hosted three times on each day of the exhibition. A six metre scaffold tower will give all those attending a perfect view of the demonstrations, enabling them to have a clear understanding of the risks associated with working at height and the best practices that can be employed to retrieve and rescue those who find themselves in difficulty.

The IKAR Staff Team will be on-hand for the duration of the exhibition to answer any specific questions, show a range of IKAR products and offer advice to all those attending FM Ireland.

The projected Learning Outcomes for those who attend the IKAR “Fall Arrest and Rescue Demonstrations” are to have a basic understanding of:

  1. The difference between working in Restraint and Fall Arrest;
  2. The causes and consequences of falling;
  3. The different tools designed to arrest a fall;
  4. Techniques and equipment designed to recover a casualty by lifting;
