Understanding the Appointment of Project Supervisors in FM projects

The objective of the presentation is to inform participants of best practice and the legal requirements related to the appointment of Project Supervisors for the Design Process (PSDP), and the Construction Stage (PSCS) under the SHWW Construction Regulations 2013, S.I. 291 of 2013. The presentation will provide guidance and clarity on the expanded classifications for “construction work” under the 2013 Regulations, and separating those projects which fall under those classifications and those which also require notification and appointments. The presentation will also refer to the key criteria that apply to create the requirement for notification to the Authority, and the subsequent appointment of Project Supervisors, and the additional duties that are attached to those roles. The presentation will aid participants make informed judgments in planning proposed projects or works undertaken in the FM field.
