Organisers’ Statement of Attendance

Overview

FM Ireland incorporating Health & Safety Ireland delivered a total number of 1791 attendees over the course of the event. This number was comprised of 1315 visitors, speakers and repeat attendees and 476 exhibitor personnel.

Wednesday 6 March (Day 1) was noticeably quieter than in previous year’s, however Thursday 7 March (Day 2) attracted more attendees than ever before in the events 5 year history. This change may be related to the content addressed as part of the conference programme, which did change its focus over the 2 days compared to 2012.

Feedback received from exhibitors during the event, was that while greater visitor numbers would be preferred, the majority of exhibitors were impressed with the quality of attendees who did attend the event this year.

Many repeat exhibitors, commented that this year’s event had delivered a greater number of senior level decision makers from leading organisations, compared to previous years, and that the opportunity to meet these people in person would not have occurred, if they had not been exhibiting.

A visitor and exhibitor survey will be conducted in the coming month, however anecdotally visitors were pleased with the scope of exhibitors and conference content delivered, stating that it was their intention to visit again in 2014.
